ELEGEIA, the Greek Association of General Practitioners is the leading scientific organization in Greece dedicated to the advancement of Primary Care and the scientific, as well as professional, development of General Practitioners and Family Physicians.

 

ELEGEIA’s primary mission is to promote the clinical, educational, and research aspects of General Practice in Greece. We strive to ensure that every citizen has access to high-quality primary healthcare services provided by well-trained and continuously updated medical professionals. Our goals are fully aligned with international standards and the principles of WONCA (World Organization of Family Doctors).

 

Continuous Medical Education: We provide a robust platform for lifelong learning through national congresses, seminars, and workshops, ensuring our members stay at the forefront of medical developments.

Scientific Research: We encourage and support research initiatives within primary care, aiming to improve clinical outcomes and patient management.

Advocacy: ELEGEIA acts as a key consultant to national health authorities, contributing to the development of health policies, clinical protocols, and the restructuring of the National Health System with an emphasis on Primary Care.

International Collaboration: We foster strong ties with international scientific societies to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the management of chronic conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and metabolic disorders.

 

ELEGEIA is proud to endorse the CaReMeLO 2027 Conference. The focus on the interconnection between Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic, Liver, and Obesity diseases is of paramount importance for the Family Physician.
